Primeiro Impacto (First Impact) is a Brazilian morning newscast produced and originally broadcast by SBT since March 28, 2016. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] It is based on U.S. news program Primer Impacto , broadcast by the American Univision network, which broadcasts its programming in Spanish and has its dedicated audience to the Hispanic American public. [ 3 ]
The original Primer Impacto logo used from 1994 to 1996. The program was preceded by Noticias y Más ("News and More") in 1991 with Raul Peimbert and Jackie Nespral anchoring. Nespral left the show later that year and was replaced by Myrka Dellanos. On February 14, 1994, [2] the show was replaced by a new program called Primer Impacto.

Myrka got her first break in 1992 when she co-hosted the popular Univision news program Primer Impacto (First Impact). Dellanos would continue to serve as co-host of Primer Impacto until 2004 when she was chosen as the "Star of the Year" by readers of the magazine People en Español.
The show was hosted by María Celeste Arrarás from its inception, just after resigning from Primer Impacto and giving birth to her first baby. She was the main face of the show until August 5, 2020, when she was laid off as part of cost-cutting measures by Telemundo's parent company NBCUniversal .
