BV Den Helder, also known as Den Helder Suns, is a Dutch women's basketball club based in Den Helder. Established in 1983, it plays in the Women's Basketball League (WBL). The club has won sixteen national championships.
In 2016, the Suns organisation was founded with the goal of making a return to the Dutch Basketball League (DBL). On June 30, 2017, Den Helder Suns announced it would return to the highest level in the 2017–18 season. [1] On July 14, 2017, the Suns announced "Peter van Noord head coach Den Helder Suns." [2]
