Ratchadaphisek station (Thai: สถานีรัชดาภิเษก) is a Bangkok MRT station on the Blue Line, located under Ratchadaphisek Road, in Bangkok, Thailand. During construction, the station had been named Ratchada but MRTA changed to Ratchadaphisek , reflecting the road of the same name.
The Ratchadaphisek district stretches from the junction with Rama IX Road to the one with Sutthisan Winitchai Road.It is a well-known entertainment area, [1] including shopping complexes such as The Esplanade, cinema complexes such as Major Cineplex, a night bazaar, and night markets as well as love hotels.
Today, Ratsadaphisek Bridge is regarded as one of the landmarks of Lampang Province, as well as Wat Phra That Lampang Luang. At the end of the bridge in the inner city side is the location of a very busy local flea market especially at night of Saturday-Sunday called "Kat Kong Ta" (กาดกองต้า).
Anchored by the Esplanade Cineplex, the shopping mall opened in December 2006. The cineplex hosted the 5th World Film Festival of Bangkok in October 2007.. With a retail space of more than 100,000 square metres, the seven-floor complex includes the 12-screen Esplanade Cineplex with 3,000 seats, a B2S book shop along with other shops and restaurants.
Lat Phrao station (Thai: สถานีลาดพร้าว, pronounced [sā.tʰǎː.nīː lâːt pʰráːw]) is the name of two Bangkok MRT stations, on the Blue Line and Yellow Line, located at the intersection of Ratchadaphisek Road and Lat Phrao Road. It is the northern terminus of the Yellow Line.
Chatuchak is an area in the southwest of the district. It is bounded by (from the north clockwise): Lat Yao in its district (Ratchadaphisek Road is a borderline), Chomphon in its district (Phaholyothin Road is a borderline), Phaya Thai in Phaya Thai District (Khlong Bang Sue is a borderline), Bang Sue in Bang Sue District (Khlong Prapa and Southern Railway Line are the borderlines).

Due to the expired lease PCon Development (the owner of Suan Lum) is building this large scale mall and open air market. Some of the vendors from the previous Suan Lum Night Bazaar have moved to this new location. [3] The landlord of the former location is the Crown Property Bureau which leased the land to Central Group. [4]
