The Technical University of Denmark (Danish: Danmarks Tekniske Universitet), often simply referred to as DTU, is a polytechnic university and school of engineering. It was founded in 1829 at the initiative of Hans Christian Ørsted as Denmark's first polytechnic , and it is today ranked among Europe's leading engineering institutions.
The English Dialect Dictionary Online (EDD Online), a database and software initiated by Manfred Markus at the University of Innsbruck, provided a computerised version of Wright’s English Dialect Dictionary. DTU Science Park (previously Scion DTU) is a science park in Hørsholm north of Copenhagen, Denmark. The park is administratively part of the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in Kongens Lyngby, and it also comprise premises at DTU's main campus there.
