Russell Wayne Kruse (December 9, 1922 – May 4, 2007) was an American auctioneer best known for building the business of auctioning classic cars through Kruse International. [ 1 ] Born in Auburn, Indiana , he took up farming after graduating from high school.
He is a past president of the Indiana Auctioneer's Association, and was elected as a member of their hall of fame, [5] along with his father Russell and brother Dennis Kruse. Dean was responsible for negotiating the purchase of his auction company in 1999 by online auctioneer eBay which paid $275 million for Kruse International and Billpoint. [6]
Kruse International was an auction firm founded by Russell Kruse in Auburn, Indiana, in 1952. The company began as a local auction company selling real estate, farms and personal property run by Kruse and his sons Dean , Dennis and Daniel.
In 2010, the company acquired assets in the Permian Basin from Marbob Energy Corporation for $1.65 billion. [4] In 2012, the company acquired Three Rivers Operating Company for $1 billion. [5] [6] In October 2016, the company acquired assets in the Midland Basin from Reliance Energy for $1.625 billion. [7]
Targa Resources was founded on October 27, 2005, and is headquartered in Houston, Texas. [4] [5] In 2015, Targa Resources acquired Oklahoma-based Atlas Pipeline Partners LP and Atlas Energy LP. [6] In 2017, Targa acquired Outrigger Delaware Operating, LLC, Outrigger Southern Delaware Operating, LLC and Outrigger Midland Operating, LLC. [7]
