Auroville (/ ˈ ɔːr ə v ɪ l /; City of Dawn French: Cité de l'aube) is an experimental township in Viluppuram district, mostly in the state of Tamil Nadu, India, with some parts in the Union Territory of Puducherry in India. [3]

Roger Anger (24 March 1923 – 15 January 2008 [1]) was a French architect who worked on the Auroville project, designed by Mirra Alfassa and endorsed by UNESCO and the Government of India. He also collaborated many times with Pierre Puccinelli, notably on the Île Verte in Grenoble.
The Chennai Egmore–Puducherry Auroville Express is an express train belonging to the Southern Railway zone that runs between Chennai Egmore and Puducherry in India via Viluppuram Junction. The Express train between Madras and Pondicherry, introduced on 15- 12-1970, was cancelled 1-.4-1988.
