Initial D: Battle Stage 3 is the eleventh and final installment of the Initial D series. It features every race from the Fifth Stage and the Final Stage. Unlike the previous two battle stages, it does not feature any new battles, and doesn't feature any character dialogue.

The series takes place in 202X, where self-driving electric cars have replaced internal combustion ones. However, in Japan, there is a large organization called MFG, founded by Ryosuke Takahashi (from the Initial D series), who does street racing with internal combustion cars.
Aired on a pay-per-view channel of Animax in June 2007, [2] the series was co-produced by OB Planning, A.C.G.T., and Pastel under the direction of Tsuneo Tominaga and consists of twenty-six episodes. The series was released on DVD with the thirteenth volume reaching 29th on the Oricon sales chart for Japanese animation DVDs in November 2008. [3]
