Municipal Corporations are the local governing bodies of the urban areas in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. A municipal corporation carries out its functions through well organized divisions or departments. The 74th Amendment to the Constitution of India defined the formations of urban local governments and their activities. [1]
Then, on 13 February 2019, Hosur Municipality was upgraded to Municipal Corporation by former Chief minister of Tamil Nadu Edappadi K. Palaniswami. [1] [2] and becomes one of the 21 municipal corporations in Tamil Nadu. It was the first corporation to be made without a district's headquarters.
The Chandra Choodeswarar Temple is an ancient Shiva temple located on a rocky hill in the city of Hosur, Krishnagiri District, Tamil Nadu..
