There were many attempts to provide library service in Clarksville since the library opened. In 1955 a branch opened at 304 West Stansifer Avenue, moving to 523 Eastern Boulevard in 1958. This branch was closed in 1964 and replaced with Bookmobile service which ceased in 1979.
