Lowrider cars had their origins in the 1940s. The term "Low Rider" was created by an African American woman named Berta Bell, which is the wife of an African American man; Charles Bell, one of the early pioneers and hidden legands of lowrider history. Charles Bell is the founder of LA's first lowrider car crew in the 1940s.
