Sai Wan Ho is a primarily residential area on the northeastern shore of Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong, between Quarry Bay and Shau Kei Wan. It is part of the Eastern District , and is administered together with surrounding areas under the Eastern District Council .
From 1884 to 1996, the Compound served as the headquarters for the Marine Police, which moved to Sai Wan Ho in 1996 and became a branch in the Hong Kong Police Force. [clarification needed] [2] [3] [4] The compound is a declared monument since 1994 as it is one of the four oldest surviving government buildings in Hong Kong.
