"Me and My Broken Heart" is a debut song performed by English pop band Rixton (later-known as Push Baby). Written by Benny Blanco, Ammar Malik, Steve Mac, Wayne Hector, and Rob Thomas, [1] and produced by Blanco and Mac, the song was first released on 15 March 2014 as the lead single from Rixton's debut studio album, Let the Road (2015).
Their debut single as Rixton, "Me and My Broken Heart" charted internationally and got to number one in the UK singles chart. [1] Rixton went on a hiatus in 2016 and got back together as Push Baby in 2019 with the release of their debut song under the new name, "Mama's House".
The song "Me and My Broken Heart" reached number one on the UK Singles Chart and reached the Top 20 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Their second studio album, Wow, Big Legend , was released in July 2021, and their third studio album, Wow, That's What I Call Push Baby! , was released in October 2022.
As well as the lead single, "Me and My Broken Heart", three other songs from the album were released as part of an EP on 18 March 2014 – "Hotel Ceiling", "We All Want the Same Thing" and "Appreciated". Rixton said of the EP, "It's overwhelming to have gone from writing songs in Danny's caravan to seeing the world performing our music.
Rixton's first music video was released in October 2013 entitled "Make Out", an upbeat song that lampoons famous music videos from Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Robin Thicke, Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj, but it was never released as a single. Their first official single, "Me and My Broken Heart", is taken from their EP of the same name.
