A typical Web callback form. Web callback is a technology where a person can enter his or her telephone number in a form on a web site. The company who owns that Web site will then receive the Web callback request and a call center agent will call the person who made the request back on the number they entered.
Often, consuming code registers a callback for a particular type of event. When that event occurs, the callback is called. Callbacks are often used to program the graphical user interface (GUI) of a program that runs in a windowing system. The application supplies a reference to a custom callback function for the windowing system to call.
For example, ~fruit is the list of all known fruits. The simple pattern (~fruit) reacts if any fruit is mentioned immediately after the chatbot asks for favorite food. It is a general-purpose programming language intended to let programmers write once, run anywhere (), [16] meaning that compiled Java code can run on all platforms that support Java without the need to recompile. [17]
In JNI, for example, C code which "holds on to" object references that it receives from Java must communicate this information successfully to the Java virtual machine or Java Runtime Environment (JRE), otherwise, Java may delete objects before C finishes with them. (The C code must also explicitly release its link to any such object once C has ...
The cost of making a telephone call via callback consists of two parts, as the caller is effectively paying for an outbound and inbound call at the same time. Call centers increased with the deregulation of long-distance calling and growth in information-dependent industries. [11]
