The Taurus Express (Turkish: Toros Ekspresi) is a passenger train named after the Taurus Mountains in Southern Turkey. It was launched in 1930 by Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits and originally connected Istanbul with Aleppo, Tripoli (for connections to Palestine) and Nusaybin (for connections to Iraq).

An alternate connection to the east was finally opened in 1936. On 15 February 1930, the Taurus Express made its maiden journey from Haydarpaşa station in Istanbul to Baghdad, via Konya. This train, operated by Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits (CIWL), was a luxury train and the Anatolian counterpart to the Orient Express.

Taurus Express Durak railway station ( Turkish : Durak istasyonu meaning "Stop station") is a railway station in the Mersin Province of Turkey . Since the station is not near any settlement, it is used mainly as a siding.
After the second world war, the Wagons-Lits company gradually withdrew and operation of the Taurus Express was taken over by the Turkish, Syrian and Iraqi state railways. Up until the late 1980s, a twice-weekly Istanbul-Baghdad service was maintained, with weekly through seating cars from Istanbul to Aleppo.

The station was opened on 25 October 1904 by the Baghdad Railway. Çumra station is 44.2 km (27.5 mi) southeast of Konya station and 324.8 km (201.8 mi) northwest of Adana station.
