A Shipwreck in the Sand is the fourth studio album by Canadian post-hardcore band, Silverstein, released March 31, 2009 through Victory.. Although not as an official member, this marks the first album to feature future guitarist Paul Marc Rousseau (who would later go on to replace guitarist Neil Boshart), providing group vocals, among others.

Silverstein (/ ˈ s ɪ l. v ər. s t iː n /) is a Canadian post-hardcore band from Burlington, Ontario, formed in 2000. Their band name is a reference to the famous children's author Shel Silverstein , who the band had admired and whose work they had read as children. [ 1 ]
They also announced that it would be over 2 hours long, contain 22 tracks, unseen backstage footage, and every music video including the upcoming video for "American Dream". [8] [9] Decade Singles was released on June 1 and contained "Smile in Your Sleep" and "Born Dead" (featuring Scott Wade). [1] [10] The album was mixed by Cameron Webb.
