Baby Positions. We believe birth is easier with fetal positioning. Baby’s head fits like a matching puzzle piece when slipping into the birthing pelvis. Here’s how the puzzle works: The head is longer front to back. The head engages (about 38-40 weeks or in labor) best when the long direction of the head matches the widest angle of the pelvis.
While our bodies intuitively know how to birth, sometimes our babies need a little help finding their way into the optimal position for a smoother and more efficient birth. That's where the concept of "Spinning Babies" comes in—an approach that encourages optimal fetal positioning through simple techniques and exercises.
The Spinning Babies approach connects understanding of birth anatomy to fetal rotation and easier childbirth, and is recognized around the world by midwives, nurses, childbirth educators, doulas, and parents.
Spinning Babies® Online Guided Parent Class highlights your baby’s active role in birth. During labor the baby needs to pass through the three levels of the pelvis. Learn techniques to help your pelvis and it’s muscles that support or restrict your pelvic levels.
At Spinning Babies ®, we offer techniques that work for most pregnancies with a breech position. Your doctor or midwife can monitor your progress and give further suggestions for your particular situation.
