Anybody out there had any experience with the Orvis Frequent Flyer Series of fly rods. Particularly with the 6 and 8 weight rods. Any problems? They are certainly nice looking rods for the money. Need to get a couple of rods I can really pack into a briefcase or small bag. Thanks,

Baker sockeye are fun to catch with a fly rod and will take a fly. The rub of course is how to present that fly to a widely scattered fish in depths that seem to respond the best to a slow/non-aggressive presentations.
Just yesterday I picked up a Clearwater "Frequent Flyer" 8wt 7-piece rod and have to say that it is a pretty decent rod for a niche rod. I was able to cast about 90' with it in the parking lot, and Brian at the Portland Orvis store, who was helping me, was casting the entire 105' line.
