Albert Lewis Johnson. (May 12, 1871 – March 30, 1935), better known as Jigger Johnson (also nicknamed Wildcat Johnson, [1] Jigger Jones, or simply The Jigger), was a legendary logging foreman, trapper, and fire warden for the U.S. Forest Service who was known throughout the American East for his many off-the-job exploits, such as catching bobcats alive barehanded, and drunken brawls.
The Eagle Lake Tramway is a historic timber-transport mechanism in the remote North Maine Woods in northeastern USA. [2] The tramway, built in 1902 and operated until 1907, transported timber across a neck of land between Eagle Lake and Chamberlain Lake, with one end eventually becoming the eastern terminus of the Eagle Lake and West Branch Railroad in 1927.
The Johnson Mill is located on the north side of Maine State Route 5, just south of North Waterboro village. The mill pond is located on the south side of the highway, which crosses over Johnson Stream on a concrete bridge built by mill owner Dennis Johnson in 1920. The mill dam, now breached, lies nearly underneath the bridge.

Located at the city's southernmost tip, and now part of the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge, the property was developed in the 1930s by architect Charles Ewing for his family. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016. [1]
