On March 12, 2012, it was announced that McCann would leave KLAS. McCann moved from Las Vegas to the Salt Lake area to work for KSL-TV. McCann and Mike Headrick replaced the retiring Bruce Lindsay as co-anchors with Nadine Wimmer on KSL's evening newscasts. The job at KSL began in June 2012.
Richard Bruce Lindsay (born 1950) is an American broadcaster who was the most senior male anchor for weeknight broadcasts of the news on KSL TV in Salt Lake City, Utah, from 2007 until his retirement in May 2012. He was awarded an Emmy for his coverage of the 1980 Democratic National Convention.
The station first signed on the air on June 1, 1949, operating from studios in the Union Pacific Building on Main Street. It was owned by the Deseret News, who also owned KSL radio (1160 AM and 100.3 FM, now KSFI). It originally operated as a CBS affiliate, owing to its sister radio station's longtime affiliation with the CBS Radio Network.
