I deleted the Lewis Latimer info, which was wholly inaccurate. For instance, the following : Latimer invented the filament for the light bulb after Edison failed to come up with anything practical. He made his filament out of carbon, which lasted much longer than Edison's filament (which was made of bamboo). Two things wrong with that.
