Autolite 4300A Carburetor. The Autolite 4300 was a four-barrel (four venturi) carburetor manufactured by Autolite in multiple variants from 1967 through 1974. Used by both Ford and AMC, it was produced as an emissions-compliant replacement for the previous Autolite 4100 model, and was superseded by the Motorcraft 4350.
The 351C, introduced in 1969 for the 1970 model year, is commonly referred to as the 351 Cleveland after the Brook Park, Ohio, Cleveland Engine plant in which most of these engines were manufactured. This plant complex included a gray iron foundry (Cleveland Casting Plant), and two engine assembly plants (Engine plant 1 & 2).

The 351 or 351C were used in some 4000, 5000, and 6000 series trucks from 1962 to 1972 and the 351E was used in the 1000–3500 series trucks from 1966 to 1969. [13] The 351, 351C, and 351M engines were medium duty truck engines, while the 351E was a light-duty engine – basically a 351M without the oil-driven governors.
The low-rise intake, designed to fit under a low hoodline, was the first. The high-rise intake required a hood bubble for clearance. While the low- and medium-rise heads could be used in combination with either low- or medium-rise intakes, the high-rise head required a high-rise intake due to the increased height of the intake port.
