The Leeds Blitz comprised nine air raids on the city of Leeds by the Nazi German Luftwaffe. The heaviest raid took place on the night of 14/15 March 1941, affecting the city centre , Beeston , [ 1 ] Bramley [ 2 ] and Armley .
After a hiatus for the band, Miller recruited a floating roster of new members in the early 2000s, including vocalist Bryan 'Scorch' Hiazlip, Doug Williams on guitar, Brian Lawton on bass, and James Greene on drums, and performed concerts under the Blitz name, Lawton replacing Williams on guitar, and a new Bassist Marc stepping in for later live gigs.

May Blitz was a Canadian-British hard rock power trio that was active in the early 1970s. The group was formed in 1969 by bassist Terry Poole and drummer Keith Baker , the rhythm section of the blues-rock trio Bakerloo , both of whom left the group when guitarist Clem Clempson departed to join Colosseum .

BPMD was conceived in the summer of 2019 when Ellsworth, Demmel, Menghi and Portnoy teamed up to record an album featuring covers of 1970s songs, titled American Made. [1] [2] [3] In a January 2020 interview on The Blairing Out with Eric Blair Show, Demmel revealed that the project would be called BPMD, in reference to three of the members' last names as well as Ellsworth's nickname Blitz.
In late September/early October 2014, Blitz Kids had their own headline tour, supported by Natives and Scholars. The band announced a summer 2015 UK tour stating it would be the last for a while. On 3 July, it was announced that the band had broken up and that the summer tour was cancelled, but the band performed two farewell shows in October 2015.
