Shared services is the provision of a service by one part of an organization or group where that service had previously been found in more than one part of the organization or group. U.S. rules also specifically permit shared services agreements. [83] Under such agreements, various group members may perform services which benefit more than one member. Prices charged are considered arm's length where the costs are allocated in a consistent manner among the members based on reasonably anticipated benefits.
