Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts was established in February 2004 in San Mateo, California. The school’s headquarters and main campus have moved to San Jose, CA, as of January 2024. As of January 2024, Gurnick Academy operates six campuses in addition to online distance-learning programs and courses.
Don Bosco Technical Institute (Bosco Tech) was established as a high school in 1954 through the cooperative efforts of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles, the Salesian Society, as well as industrial and business leaders of the Greater Los Angeles Area. The college was founded by Donald Harrison in 1974 as the American School of X-Ray. In July 1996, Daniel Dorim Kim purchased the school and changed the name to the American College of Medical Technology (ACMT). The school's accreditation was terminated in 2007.
