The series was created by Ed Redlich and John Bellucci, [14] and co-produced with Carl Beverly and Sarah Timberman for CBS, where it made its debut on September 20, 2011. [1] The series was also produced by CBS Television Studios and Sony Pictures Television. On October 25, 2011, CBS picked up the series for a full season of 22 episodes. [15]
However, on June 29, 2012, CBS confirmed that Unforgettable would return for a second season in the summer of 2013 with an order for 13 episodes. [1] The September 8 episode served as the summer finale, with the remainder of the season returning in January in Europe and on April 4, 2014 in the United States. [2]

Nicola Jane Walker [1] (born 15 May 1970) is an English actress, known for her starring roles in various British television programmes from the 1990s onwards, including that of Ruth Evershed in the spy drama Spooks (2003–2006 and 2009–2011), DCI Cassie Stuart in Unforgotten (2015–2021) and Hannah Stern in The Split (2018–2024).

In February 2021 Unforgotten returned for a fourth series, [13] to universal critical acclaim and an average rating across the series of 9.5 million, up on series 3 by an average of 2.5 million per episode. It was nominated as best drama by both BAFTA and Royal Television Society. A few months later series 4 was broadcast in the states on PBS.
