She has been ranked as the world No. 1 in women's singles by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), holding the position for a total of 71 weeks (including as the year-end world No. 1 in 2010 and 2011).
The former world No. 1 reached the third round in her first Grand Slam since early 2020.
