'Bonica 82' is a medium bushy shrub, 3 to 5 ft (90—150 cm) in height with a 4—6 ft (121—182 cm) spread. Blooms have an average diameter of 2—3 in (5—7.5 cm) with a petal count of 26 to 40. The plant is excellent for use in the garden, in containers, cut flower, hedge or landscape.
In 1978, Jacques Mouchotte took over the company's rose breeding program, and developed a large number of new rose varieties until his retirement in 2013. Some of his most popular rose varieties are 'Bonica 82', 'Debut', 'Carefree Wonder', and 'Carefree Delight'. [6] [7] Meilland International continues to be 100% family owned and managed. [4] [5]
Some of his most successful rose cultivars include China rose, 'Jean Bach-Sisley' (1891), hybrid tea, 'Francis Debreuil' (1897), Noisette, 'Crépuscule' (1904), and, polyantha 'Mme Francisque Favre' (1915). During his career, he established the French Society of rose growers and was an "officier du Mérite agricole".

Rosa 'Blueberry Hill', (aka Wekcryplag ), is a floribunda rose cultivar, bred by Tom Carruth, and introduced into the United States by Weeks Rose Growers in 1997.The plant was created from hybrid tea, 'Crystalline' and floribunda, 'Playgirl'.
'Rockin Robin' was created by Carruth and introduced into the United States by Weeks Wholesale Rose Grower, Inc. in 1997. The stock parents of this rose variety are the shrub rose 'Bonica' and the miniature red climber, 'Roller Coaster'. The cultivar won an award at the El Paso Rose Society Show in 1998. [2]
It was used to hybridize 13 new cultivars. The cultivar was named an All-America Rose Selections winner in 1962. [1] 'King's Ransom' is a vigorous medium upright shrub, 30" to 5 ft (75-15- cm) in height. Blooms are 4-5 in (10-12 cm) in diameter, with 26 to 40 petals. The rose has a strong fragrance.
