The Cal State San Bernardino Coyotes are the men's and women's intercollegiate athletic teams of California State University, San Bernardino. The athletic department was established in 1984 and the school's athletic mascot is the Coyotes, sometimes shortened as “Yotes” during cheers. The school's official colors are coyote blue and black.
In 1963 and the college's official name was changed to California State College at San Bernardino. It opened in 1965 with 293 students and 30 faculty members. CSUSB earned its university status in 1984, officially becoming California State University, San Bernardino. [10] Today, the university has more than 18,000 students and 84,000 alumni.
The California State University - San Bernardino College of Arts & Letters provides liberal arts education at CSUSB. The college contains nineteen academic departments and a number of interdisciplinary programs, each of which is designed to help students understand their role in society and to develop aesthetic sensibilities.
The Santos Manuel Student Union leads into the heart of the CSUSB campus and is located near many buildings, including University Hall, the College of Education, the Student Health Center, and the Serrano Village dormitories in addition to being close to administrative services.
