Melanie Fiona Hallim (born July 4, 1983) is a Canadian singer and songwriter. She was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. [1] She began her career in 2002 as part of a Canadian R&B trio X-Quisite, who was nominated for a Juno Award for R&B/Soul Recording of the Year for their self-titled album (2004).
The album is a mixture of soul, R&B, neo soul, reggae and hip hop music influenced by pop music.In an interview, Fiona described the album's sound as "pop soul".
