Reo is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Ohio Township, Spencer County, in the U.S. state of Indiana. [ 1 ] The name Reo was coined in 1966 as an acronym of three nearby larger cities: Rockport, Indiana , Evansville, Indiana , and Owensboro, Kentucky .
Built in 1971, OVHS is the result of a consolidation of several smaller schools located within Owen County. The three schools that were merged to make Owen Valley High School are Patricksburg High School, Spencer High School, and Gosport High School. The merger of these highschools is the namesake of the school paper.
