This is what we have done in Churches of Christ. A denomination has come up with rules not in the Bible. So do we. A denomination has liturgy. So do we. A denomination does things not in the Bible. So do we. A denomination doesn’t do things the Bible says to do. So do we.

2 – Denominational Hierarchies – systems that keep certain people in certain places and exclude others from places God may want to place them. 3 – Desire and retain power rather than be servants. 4 – Lack of transparency because it might hurt the brand (coverups, gaslighting, etc all hinder it) 5 – Fear – Fear of failure.
So many Christians feel guilty about their anxiety. We have bought a line that says fear and faith are opposites or that worry/anxiety and faith are opposites. That just isn’t true. You can be perfectly afraid and perfectly faithful. The disciples demonstrate this when the storm hits their boat. They are terrified…and yet they have faith.

Simple but hard. Movements are led by Pioneering Leaders who can go into unreached fields, connect, share the gospel, make disciples, form new churches and multiply leaders. But how to you grow Pioneering Leaders when your existing methods only produce Pastor-teachers? Don’t being with a denominational or church-wide restructuring.
