The (not so) good news. Metric system is actually legal in the US, just not commonly used, so you can keep an odometer in kilometers. Carfax WILL keep track of odometer in Kms as long as it is reported as such, so the main problem is to make sure that EVERY single time someone is reporting the odometer reading he makes sure to either do it in ...
1) Erase the word to 0xffff -> one's digit on the odometer is 0. 2) Flip a single bit from 1->0 for each mile/km traveled (EEPROMs generally allow single-bit writes) 3) After 9 bits are flipped from 1->0 and we travel another mile/km, increment the 10-100000 word above, then erase the one's word to 0xffff again.
Canada version might behave differently. What I found is that it's easy to change the digital speed readout on the multi-info display and the heads-up display from miles to kilometers and back. I don't see a way to change the temperature settings from F to C, though. I went into the General settings on the 12" screen and changed it from F to C ...
I have 2013 Venza Limited with navigation. Recently, I started the navigation a saw that it transfered from kilometers to miles without any changes done by me. Now, I am looking to switch back to kilometers and can't find how. All other informations in the cluster and the othe display are in kilometer (fuel consumption in KM, odometer is in KM).

The actual Lexus computer. This is a little confusing, but I'll give it a try. If you want the dash to display your speed in KM (Bold) vs MPH , the only way is to go to a junk yard and swap it out with a local one. If you just want the distance to be displayed in KM then you just need to enter the Units option of the menu and choose KM .
Toyota is sticking some of its owners with a $500 bill to replace their odometers to fix a glitch that prevents the instrument from rolling over 300,000 km, reports CTV News. The Japanese automaker is apparently aware some of its odometers seem to get stuck when they hit either 299,999 kilometres or miles, but has simply been instructing owners ...
I would change it right away. I've always changed my transmission fluids no matter if they are MT, AT, or CVT every 30k-50k miles. Transmissions are expensive, fluid isn't. The Toyota CVT fluid is a lifetime fluid. If you never change it and the CVT dies, then the fluid lasted the life of the transmission.
