Gregory Efthimios Louganis (/ l uː ˈ ɡ eɪ n ɪ s /; [1] born January 29, 1960) is an American Olympic diver who won gold medals at the 1984 and 1988 Summer Olympics on the springboard and platform. He is the only man and the second diver in Olympic history to sweep the diving events in consecutive Olympic Games.
Julie Farrell-Ovenhouse (born August 23, 1968) is an American diver. [1] She competed in the women's 3 metre springboard event at the 1992 Summer Olympics . [ 2 ] She has been described as "the greatest diver, male or female, to ever come through Michigan State".
She is also the only female diver to surpass the 600-points mark in the event; and she did it three times. Gao was chosen as the World's Best Diver of the Year by the U.S. magazine Swimming World from 1987 to 1989 and the Woman's World Springboard Diver of the Year for a record seven consecutive years from 1986 to 1992.
