Mills Reservation is located atop First Watchung Mountain in Montclair, New Jersey and Cedar Grove, New Jersey. It is a 157.15-acre tract of forest, grassland, and cliffs. Views from Montclair to Newark, the Hudson River, and Manhattan can be seen from Quarry Point, a 500-foot basalt ledge on a ridge on the south end of the park. [1]

[2] In the 19th and early 20th centuries it was a village with a church, blacksmith, and schoolhouse. It is located on the brow of a hill along Great Road from Princeton to Blawenburg.
