The Chevrolet S-10 is a compact pickup truck produced by Chevrolet.It was the first domestically-built compact pickup of the big three American automakers. When it was first introduced as a "quarter-ton pickup" in 1981 for the 1982 model year, the GMC version was known as the S-15 and later renamed the GMC Sonoma.
The 2.2l S10/Sonoma had the starter located in the same position as front wheel drive cars. 1983–1990 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer 2-door 1985 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer 2-door, rear view. Base power was provided by GM's 2.0-liter OHV gasoline inline four-cylinder engine, producing up to 83 horsepower (62 kW). A 2.8-liter 110 hp (82 kW) V6 was offered as an option (coincidentally, this engine was also used in Jeep's competing Cherokee until 1987).

Regular Production Option ZR2 is a special off-road/suspension package offered by General Motors on their mid-size pickup trucks and SUVs. It debuted in 1994 on the Chevrolet S-10 and the GMC Sonoma pickup trucks.
This was the last generation Eldorado to be equipped with rear wheel drive. The redesigned Eldorado still rode on the same 129.5 in (3,289 mm) wheelbase. The elevated tailfins became slightly downward-sloping, and sharp, distinct body lines replaced the rounded look. Also new were a straight rear bumper and vertical lamp clusters.
