Abingdon School is an independent day and boarding school in Abingdon-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, England. It is the twentieth oldest independent British school . [ 1 ] In May 2024, Abingdon announced it would be moving to co-education , and would be fully co-educational by 2030.
Old Abingdonians are former pupils of Abingdon School or, in some cases, Honorary Old Abingdonians who have been awarded the status based on service to the School. [1] The Old Abingdonians also run the Old Abingdonian Club (OA club), an organisation hosted by the school. It was founded in 1743. [2]
Their first album, the self-titled Abingdon Boys School, was released on October 17, 2007, and reached number two on the Oricon Albums Chart. [2] [7] The single "Blade Chord" was used for the Sengoku Basara 2 video game. On July 16, 2008, Abingdon Boys School released a live DVD from a concert they held in February 2008.

Abingdon Boys School (stylized as "abingdon boys school" or abbreviated "a.b.s"), was formed in 2005 by Takanori Nishikawa, or T.M.Revolution, who originally named the band ABS after Ebisu, Tokyo, Japan, [N 1] and later changed the band's name to Abingdon Boys School, a school formerly attended by members of Radiohead.
