The Indian Air Force Museum Palam, is the museum of the Indian Air Force (IAF), and is located at the Palam Air Force Station in Delhi Cantonment, New Delhi, India. [1] It was established in 1967 and exhibits details about combat operations undertaken by the air force depicting its history since its formation in 1932.
Geography. Palam is situated 20 km southwest of the New Delhi City Centre. [6] It is surrounded by Delhi Cantt, Dwarka and Janakpuri. Palam is part of the "Dwarka Sub-Division" of the South West Delhi District. [7] Palam is broadly divided into Raj Nagar and Sadh Nagar. The No. 41 Squadron were raised in 1958 at Jodhpur and moved to the present location. During the conflict with Pakistan in 1965, the squadron flew a total of 614 Op missions in support of front-line troops. The otters were phased out in 1984, the squadron became the first unit to induct, Dornier aircraft into the IAF inventory.

In 2021, the Indian Air Force Museum, Palam acquired a second Hurricane, a Mk.IIB, BN225, previously on outdoor display at the Police Academy at Moradabad. The aircraft was modified for outdoor display but its structure survives. The aircraft will require restoration to display standard. [15]
