I have a Verizon Note 10+. I force stop apps I don't want to run in the background, but I notice within the same day they automatically start up again. This has only been happening since upgrading to Android 12. When I see the apps running, sometimes I wonder if I forget to force stop but sure enough, it's auto starting.
Then there is a setting in the phones settings under 'Voice Input & Output' go to 'Voice Recognition settings' then there are 2 settings to try. One is 'Listen over Bluetooth' the next which is below that called ' Auto Start Listening'. Also look under the text to speech settings. Rob.
New member. Open the app shortcut edge panel and tap the "Edit" button at the bottom (pencil icon). There, tap the menu button (three buttons on the top right corner) and select "Touch and hold". With that, you should be able to tap an app shortcut to open in full screen and hold and drag for split screen.
Does anyone know of an app that prevents apps from automatically staring? I notice that many apps run in the background (Sprint Navigation, Amazon MP3 Store, etc...) even though I don't need them to. I'm looking for an app that only lets other apps start when I start them. I know of all the...

Then make it run a task clicking media;music stop. That might work. I use my car connected profile to turn on Waze and Beyondpod when it connects.
I don't see anything in that app's settings to disable autoplay upon connecting to BT. If you don't use the stock music player at all, you can just go into Settings/App Settings and disable the app completely. If you don't want to do that, but still prefer a different music player, you should be able to go into that app's settings and set it to ...
Easiest solution is to go into Android Auto > Customization ... then uncheck PANDORA as an AA App ... it will finally stop autostarting ... Pandora is still installed on your phone, if you want to play it via Andorid Auto, you'll need to go back into Customization, and re-enable the app. thecomicbookandme and Mooncatt.
It will shut off the connection at the appointed time, but if I leave and come back to the space where the device is, it will automatically connect. This is gonna sound crazy, but I miss something about my BlackBerry from 8 years ago. You could, per-device, select auto-connect, never connect, or ask to connect.
Dec 13, 2014. #4. A force stop will close the app, but you generally don't want to do that unless there's an apparent problem with it. With most apps, they go dormant once in the background. Basically memory on our phones requires the same amount of battery power whether it's used or not.
