Chemung Speedrome in Chemung, New York. The Chemung Speedrome is a 3/8 mile asphalt race track in Chemung, New York, USA.Built in 1951 by the Bodine family (becoming the home track of Geoff Bodine, Brett Bodine and Todd Bodine), the track was first dirt-surfaced, then paved.
Bodine was born into a racing family as his father and grandfather, Eli Bodine Jr. and Sr. built Chemung Speedrome just a year after he was born. He began learning his racing skills at this track in the micro-midget division when he was only five years old.
Geoff Bodine, who grew up in Chemung and went on to win the Daytona 500, recently published a new book titled "All of It" about his career.
