Below are my reactions divided into 3 categories: Aesthetics/Quality (5 points), Sound/Feel (15 points), and Performance (50 points). Aesthetics/Quality — 3.5/5. Nothing about the look of Maxvert 1 struck me as offensive nor was the overall quality of the club apparently or markedly subpar.
Maybe Toura Golf’s target demographic are individuals with higher swing speeds and proficient enough to game player’s irons. Through my testing, the CB irons with correct shafts are very playable for a semi-senior golfer with a slower swing speed. The Good, The Bad, and the In-Between Score 19 out of 20.

On September 30, 2021, (after 3 weeks) I emailed Patriot/Warrior Golf customer service (cs@patriotgolf.com) and stated the clubs had still not arrived and to cancel the tryout, don’t send the clubs and refund my card. On October 5, 2021, after not hearing back, or receiving the clubs, I sent the same message.

Quality clubs built to my specs with premium shafts and grips for well under $700. I recommend going that route or buying used from a reputable source. 14 of the following: Taylormade Qi10 Max. Callaway 2023 Big Bertha 3 wood set to 17 degrees. Cobra F9 Speedback 7/8 wood set at 23.5 degrees. Callaway Epic Max 11 wood.
Joined Jun 2017. Posted January 23, 2023. I got an e-mail touting the Maxvert driver (Todd Kolb/Vertical Line Swing) as the first (or only) driver designed specifically for amateur golfers. (We can debate that claim separately.) I was struck by the similarity between its inset shaft and the old Cleveland VAS 792 woods and irons.

Shipping the club at UPS costs $85, which is 1/3 of the cost of the driver itself (I paid $249). Performance Golf makes it challenging to get the club returned.
