It is four miles north of Newmarket, as well as being close to the settlements of Soham, Burwell, Isleham, Mildenhall and Chippenham.

Fordham railway station is a disused railway station that served the village of Fordham, Cambridgeshire. Opened in 1879, the station formed the junction between the Cambridge to Mildenhall railway and the Ipswich to Ely Line in England. The Mildenhall branch closed to passengers in 1962 followed by the station in 1965.

Fordham Priory. Coordinates: 52.3054°N 0.3865°E. Fordham Priory was a Gilbertine priory in Fordham, Cambridgeshire, England. [1] It was established in 1227 and was dissolved in 1540. Fordham Abbey, a Grade II listed Georgian manor house was built on the site in the eighteenth century. [2]
