hi guys, i recently laid a turf lawn with my brother around 8 weeks ago, around 4 weeks ago the grass has started to become yellow and dead in areas. i'm looking a good fertilizer i can put down to maybe help its colour and growth, i cant understand why the lawn has started to get like this.
Hi @CrankyYankee it depends where the holes are exactly, here are some pictures of the ones I use. These are 30L buckets designed for potato growing, so have lots of drainage holes. 1

If you can't get any, you could pour into a pot and use the drainage holes as a sieve. Even two pots inside each other if the holes are a bit big - adjusting them to get a smaller aperture. Aha, that's a lovely idea.
However, my question is, up until last week the dandelions were green, healthy, rather annoying addition to my lawns but this week they have died, turned dark brown/black and left large root holes in the lawn but i've done nothing.....is this normal and part of a dandelions life cycle? Would really appreciate any help or ideas. Many thanks. Luke
