Hi @CrankyYankee it depends where the holes are exactly, here are some pictures of the ones I use. These are 30L buckets designed for potato growing, so have lots of drainage holes.

Several of my rose bushes have their leaves stuck together and also holes in them. Opened a few but empty except for one which had a tiny brown striped caterpillar inside (disposed of). Not sure if this is rose sawfly or tortrix caterpillar. If I hand pick the poor roses will be almost bare. Is there a biological spray I can use?

If you can't get any, you could pour into a pot and use the drainage holes as a sieve. Even two pots inside each other if the holes are a bit big - adjusting them to get a smaller aperture. It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
Just got some of these pots below - do I poke a few holes in the bottom, fill with compost then push a couple of peas in each? I've got a propagator tray and lid, do they need to be under that or just on the windowsill in full sun?
