Pancha Bhuta (/pəɲt͡ʃəbʱuːt̪ᵊ/ ,Sanskrit: पञ्चभूत; pañca bhūta), five elements, is a group of five basic elements, which, in Hinduism, is the basis of all cosmic creation. [1]
Wuxing was first translated into English as "the Five Elements", drawing deliberate parallels with the Greek arrangement of the four elements. [10] [8] This translation is still in common use among practitioners of Traditional Chinese medicine, such as in the name of Five Element acupuncture. [11] However, this analogy is misleading.
The element plays an important role in Chinese astrology and feng shui. Fire is included in the 10 heavenly stems (the five elements in their yin and yang forms), which combine with the 12 Earthly Branches (or Chinese signs of the zodiac), to form the 60 year cycle. Yang Fire years end in 6 (e.g. 1976). (Yang years end in an even number.)
Wood is the lesser yang character (yin within yang) of the Five elements, fuelling Fire. It stands for springtime, the east, the planet Jupiter, the color green, windy weather, and the Azure Dragon (Qing Long) in Four Symbols. Blue and cyan-type colors also represent wood.

Chi, or the earth, symbolizes solid matter. Sui, the water, symbolizes liquids. Ka, the fire, is the symbol of combustion, or the elements in an energy-releasing state.

In the same way, water can be fluid and weak, but can also wield great power when it floods and overwhelms the land.
