Jassim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani (Arabic: جاسم بن حمد بن خليفة آل ثاني; born 25 August 1978) is the former heir apparent of Qatar.He is the third son of the former Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and the first child of the Emir with his second wife, Sheikha Moza bint Nasser Al-Missned.
Sheikha Al-Mayassa married Sheikh Jassim bin Abdulaziz Al Thani [49] at Al-Wajbah Palace, Doha, on 6 January 2006. Sheikh Jassim is an elder son of Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, making them second cousins. Together they have four sons and one daughter. Sheikh Mohammed bin Jassim bin Abdulaziz Al Thani.
Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Thani was born in 1946, the oldest son of Emir Ahmad bin Ali Al Thani. [1]Sheikh Abdulaziz served as Minister for Health between 1967 and 1972 and also as president of the Palestine Red Crescent Society.
Between 2006 and 2010, Al Thani was the head of the Gulf and Arab Monitoring Department at the Ministry of Culture. In addition, he was a member of the Doha Capital of Culture Committee in 2010 . From 2010 until 2014, he worked at the office of the Crown Prince at the Amiri Diwan of the State of Qatar .
Abdelaziz bin Khalifa is the first son of Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani, the eighth Emir of Qatar, and eldest child of the Emir and his first spouse, Sheikha Amna bint Hassan bin Abdulla Al Thani. Sheikh Abdelaziz is the elder half-brother of Hamad, the former Emir of Qatar. [1]
