Central Penn College was founded in 1881 under the name "Pennsylvania Business College". Its original location was on Market Street in Harrisburg. [1] In 1970 the new president Bart Milano moved the Central Pennsylvania Business School, as it was known at that time, across the river to Summerdale where it continues to operate today. [2]

Kurpeikis attended the Central Catholic High School in Pittsburgh where he was a high school All-American linebacker selection. He was also a standout sprinter and shot putter on the track team. Kurpeikis played college football at Penn State, finishing his career with 172 tackles, 17 sacks and 43 stops for losses.
The Downtown State College Italian Street Painting Festival features street painters of national significance, in addition to a Young Artists Alley.
