Stanley Stellar (born 1945) [1] is an American photographer, living in Manhattan, who has photographed gay men in the West Village there since 1976. [2] [3] His work is included in the collection of Harvard Art Museums, [4] as well as in the Artifacts at the End of a Decade portfolio, a copy of which is held in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Artifacts at the End of a Decade (1981) is a boxed multiple containing works from 44 artists who were active in New York City in the 1970s. Assembled by Steven Watson and Carol Huebner Venezia, Artifacts is a collection of pieces designed uniquely for this project.
