The Airport Rail Link, opened in August 2010, connects the city centre to Suvarnabhumi Airport to the east. Its eight stations span a distance of 28 kilometres (17 mi). The SRT Red Lines opened in 2021 and add 41km of track with commuter services connected to the new rail hub at Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal.
