Only one of Connery's 3 non-Bond films allocated in the deal was actually produced, and Connery claimed that Bond co-producer Cubby Broccoli never paid him the $4.75 million of the film's profits that he was owed, although there was never any legal verification or ruling that was true.
IAN FLEMING'SJAMES BOND “Bond. James Bond.” And so goes the classic line. Sean Connery was the first actor to play Bond in the long-running film series, and, for many, he’s never been bettered. I made posters for Sean Connery's 007 era using minimalist approach. I also did my own version of the bond logo as well. Hope y'all will like it.
I think one only needs to look at the 'Bond, James Bond' introductions of all the actors to determine who is #1. Most would agree that Connery's DN intro is the gold standard. Not strained. Not affected. Just real. To this day it hasn't been equaled (yes, I'm including Craig's cool but still inferior & overstylized intro at the end of CR).
I mean, if anyone wants a counterpoint to the genetic outlier thing (whatever that is)/the 1 percent or whatever who look like prime era Sean Connery, I'll say this: even if someone happens to fall into that 'strikingly good looking' category, it doesn't have anything to do with their Bond potential.

I had never seen anything like those films and they struck me - and all the other guys at my school - they way that Star Wars did for so many kids.
Former Bond girl Lana Wood, who played Plenty O'Toole in the 1971 James Bond film "Diamonds Are Forever", as given a lengthy interview to the Daily Mail where she talks about her life, career and family.
Bennett Cerf, the publisher of Random House (and whose son co-authored the Bond novel parody Alligator) was a regular panelist (though he absent for Connery's appearance). In an audio interview that was posted on YouTube, he said panelists prepped for the show by checking what movies or new Broadway plays were about to open.
In the 60s Sean Connery's shoulders were those that carried the most weight in heaps of tons, and out of that his complex and fascinating relationship with James Bond was birthed. To read this interview, click the link below, and discuss any thoughts you may have on its contents in this thread:
No one does it like Seanery! 1. Connery 2. Moore 3. Craig 4. Lazenby 5. Dalton 6. Brosnan
I am 23 and therefore grew up in the era when Pierce Brosnan/Daniel Craig was James Bond. Order of preference of actors: Roger Moore, Sean Connery, Timothy Dalton, Daniel Craig, Pierce Brosnan, George Lazenby There is not such thing as a bad James Bond film :D
