The core dump feature is a mandatory telemetry feature for the Deep Space segment as it has been proven to minimize system diagnostic costs. [citation needed] The Voyager craft uses routine core dumps to spot memory damage from cosmic ray events. Space Mission core dump systems are mostly based on existing toolkits for the target CPU or subsystem.
IPCS (Interactive Problem Control System) is a z/OS component which can analyze unformatted application dumps dumps (SYSMDUMP) or snapshot dumps, or stand-alone system dumps (SADMP). IPCS can inspect any storage address in the dump and format system control blocks, providing labels for fields. It can be run interactively or as a batch job. [2]
In a "dual kernel" layout, kdump uses kexec to boot another kernel and obtain a memory dump. [3]: 10 In the event of a kernel crash, kdump preserves system consistency by booting another Linux kernel, which is known as the dump-capture kernel, and using it to export and save a memory dump.

In general, their primary usage is to extract text from the memory dump. [2] Many operating systems provide features to kernel developers and end-users to actually create a snapshot of the physical memory for either debugging (e.g. core dump or Blue Screen of Death) purposes or experience enhancement (e.g. hibernation).
ProcDump is a command-line application used for monitoring an application for CPU spikes and creating crash dumps during a spike. [2] [3] The crash dumps can then be used by an administrator or software developer to determine the cause of the spike.
objdump is a command-line program for displaying various information about object files on Unix-like operating systems. For instance, it can be used as a disassembler to view an executable in assembly form.
I did a search for "hex dump", to check whether the article exists. Instead I found "Core dump". They are not one and the same. Core dump is always in binary and can be viewed in many different ways, including as hex dump. But hex dump is just a view of some information - not core dump. Redirection should be removed and a proper article written.
